Base pay range

• Salary of £28,350 per annum

We\'re partnered with a national, Legal 500 recognised law firm who are looking for an experienced Legal Cashier to join their Finance department. This is a remote position; however, you must be based within a 1-hour commute of Leeds.

This is a key role in a team of six, supporting the smooth and compliant running of the firm’s cashiering function and wider finance operations. You’ll work closely with fee earners, senior management, and the wider accounts team to ensure accurate and efficient financial processes.

Responsibilities include:

  • Posting daily office bank receipts and resolving remittance queries in liaison with credit control
  • Processing day-to-day office account CHAPS and BACS payments
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Engaging with fee earners to discuss and resolve matter balances and residual balances, including preparing reports
  • Assisting the Cashier Supervisor with accounting functions, queries, and operational requests
  • Using the firm’s accounting system to drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Supporting ad hoc tasks and projects as required by the Operations Manager
  • Collaborating with the wider cashier team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines

What we need from you:

  • 3 years’ experience as a Legal Cashier within a law firm
  • Strong working knowledge of the SRA Accounts Rules

Desirable but not essential:

  • AAT qualification or higher
  • Previous use of Partner 4 Windows
