Our client is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join their Asset Based Lending (ABL) team in Manchester. You’ll play a key role in supporting transactions from start to finish, managing documentation, and liaising with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders. This role is ideal for someone with a transactional paralegal/legal support background who is looking to step into the busy and rewarding world of ABL.
Responsibilities
Day-to-day, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing client onboarding and file openings
- Drafting and reviewing security documentation
- Supporting on refinancing, acquisition finance, and secured lending matters
- Handling security registrations, removals, and Companies House searches
- Assisting with post-completion administration
- Supervising and supporting junior paralegals where needed
- General team support and ad-hoc duties as required
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Experience in a transactional legal environment (banking, finance, corporate, real estate finance, or securitisation)
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- A proactive approach, able to use initiative and remain calm under pressure
- Genuine interest in commercial law and finance with a desire to develop
