The Role

Working closely with senior legal leadership, you’ll take charge of various property-related legal matters, ensuring compliance, negotiating agreements, and providing strategic legal support. If you enjoy problem-solving, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and navigating complex legal landscapes, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact in a rapidly growing sector.

Key Responsibilities

Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the legal security of renewable energy projects by:

  • Handling Property Transactions: Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing key documents such as leases, easements, and site-sharing agreements while liaising with external counsel and stakeholders.
  • Securing Land Access & Easements: Working alongside grid teams and project managers to facilitate substation leases, cable routes, and wayleaves in a commercially viable manner.
  • Supporting Due Diligence & Project Funding: Resolving legal challenges, negotiating terms, and streamlining project completion for investors and stakeholders.
  • Risk & Compliance Oversight: Providing legal guidance on GDPR, conducting internal training, and assisting leadership in risk management strategies.

Who We\’re Looking For

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • Property Law Expertise: A qualified solicitor with a strong background in property law, preferably within renewable energy or infrastructure sectors.
  • Strong Negotiation Skills: Proven experience in handling complex property agreements.
  • Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving Ability: Comfortable with title reviews, due diligence processes, and legal risk mitigation.
  • Clear & Confident Communication: Ability to engage effectively with internal teams, external counsel, and industry stakeholders.
  • Understanding of Compliance & Risk: Knowledge of GDPR and risk management is beneficial.
