Job Description
Global Transportation Finance Paralegal – London (Hybrid)
Salary up to £40,000 DOE
A leading international law firm is seeking a Global Transportation Finance Paralegal to join their London office. This is a high-profile role providing paralegal support to the firm’s Global Transportation Finance team, working closely with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers with all aspects of corporate, finance, and global transportation finance transactions.
- Prepare and organise closing documents, execution packs, and post-closing materials.
- Draft, proof, and manage closing documents, correspondence, and master bibles (electronic and hard copy).
- Conduct legal and transactional research, including AML and KYC compliance checks.
- Prepare and review UCC filings and manage related documentation.
- Organise and maintain physical and virtual data rooms.
- Perform registry filings and searches, including Companies House, international aircraft registries, CAA, and Central Index.
- Review, reconcile, and approve certain vendor invoices pre- and post-closing.
- Maintain client records and minute books, responding to relevant requests.
- Assist with training and mentoring junior paralegals.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the team.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure on time-sensitive, multi-jurisdictional transactions.
- Strong attention to detail and discretion.
- Able to multi-task and work independently.
- Willingness and flexibility to work overtime when required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BA or equivalent degree.
- Experience in transactional work, ideally with complex multi-jurisdictional leasing or financing.
- Familiarity with UCC filings.
- Experience reviewing corporate documents and conditions precedent preferred.
- Previous experience in aviation or shipping finance is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and internet research.
Location & Hours: Hybrid role based in London; full-time.
