A long-established and highly regarded Liverpool law firm is seeking a Family Solicitor or FCILEx to join its busy Family team. The successful candidate will inherit an existing caseload and join a collaborative team of experienced family practitioners. The role is predominantly focused on public law children matters, with some private family, divorce and financial remedy work. The firm is open-minded regarding candidate backgrounds and can tailor the caseload depending on experience and interests. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior to mid-level family lawyer looking to develop their career within a supportive and client-focused environment with a strong local reputation.

You will manage your own caseload of family matters with support from an established team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Handling a caseload of predominantly care proceedings and public law children matters
  • Managing private family matters including divorce and financial remedy work where appropriate
  • Conducting advocacy where suitable and attending court hearings
  • Advising clients throughout proceedings and providing practical, empathetic support
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider family team

The firm is seeking: Qualified Solicitors or FCILEx professionals NQ to 5 years' PQE (or equivalent experience) Experience in family law, particularly care proceedings or public law children work Strong client care and communication skills A collaborative and personable approach Ability to manage a caseload independently.
