We’re working with an established and highly regarded law firm who are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated HR Assistant to join their existing HR function in Fakenham. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in HR, with genuine interest in employment law, HR processes and employee relations.
The Role
- Providing day-to-day support to the HR function
- Working closely with the existing HR team on a broad range of HR matters
- Assisting with employee queries and supporting managers and employees
- Supporting the development, review and implementation of HR policies and procedures
- Assisting with employment documentation, correspondence and HR administration
- Researching employment law and HR best practice
- Supporting recruitment, onboarding and wider employee lifecycle processes
- Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records
- Assisting with employee relations matters where appropriate
- Supporting HR projects and initiatives
- Building strong working relationships with employees and managers across multiple offices
- Travelling to other offices when required to provide hands-on HR support
- Taking on additional responsibilities as your knowledge and experience develops
About You
- Genuinely interested in building a career within HR and employment law
- Eager to learn, develop and take on new responsibilities
- Naturally personable and confident when dealing with people at all levels
- Organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload
- Comfortable carrying out research and developing an understanding of employment legislation
- A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
- Professional and discreet when handling confidential information
- Ideally experienced within a private-sector HR environment
- Experienced in writing or reviewing HR policies, or keen to develop this experience
- Working towards or holding a Level 3 HR qualification would be advantageous, but is not essential
- Comfortable travelling between offices when required
