You'll be joining a specialist Self Build Property team in Exeter, handling a broad range of residential conveyancing matters while developing expertise in the growing self-build sector. Full training will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for a newly qualified solicitor looking to expand their knowledge and establish themselves within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing:

  • Managing your own caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion
  • Handling a variety of transactions including freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, remortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions, and new build matters
  • Developing specialist knowledge in self-build remortgages and purchases
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, lenders, estate agents, and other stakeholders
  • Providing clear, practical legal advice and exceptional client service throughout the transaction process
  • Working closely with experienced colleagues within a supportive and collaborative team environment

About you:

  • Newly Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate (or due to qualify shortly)
  • Solid residential property experience gained during training
  • Ability to manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Strong understanding of residential conveyancing processes and property law
  • Excellent communication and client relationship management skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • A proactive, ambitious, and team-focused approach
  • Experience of self-build or new-build transactions would be advantageous but is not essential
