We're working with a leading law firm who are looking to recruit a Legal Secretary to join their specialist Clinical Negligence team in Exeter. The team acts for clients across the UK on a wide range of medical negligence claims, including complex and high-value birth injury cases.
The role would suit someone with previous legal secretarial experience, although candidates with strong administrative experience and an interest in developing within a legal environment may also be considered.
- Audio and copy-typing, proofreading and updating dictated work.
- Dealing with client enquiries by telephone and email.
- Preparing and producing legal documents.
- Preparing account receipts, payments and bills.
- Fielding initial enquiries from prospective new clients.
Previous legal secretarial or legal administrative experience would be desirable.
Good audio and copy-typing skills.
Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office.
