We're working with a leading law firm who are looking to recruit a Legal Assistant to join their specialist Clinical Negligence team in Exeter. The team acts for clients across the UK on a wide range of medical negligence claims, including complex and high-value birth injury cases.
This is a varied role providing legal and administrative support to experienced Clinical Negligence lawyers. Previous legal experience is not essential, making this an opportunity for someone with strong administrative experience who is looking to develop their legal skills within a specialist team.
- Dealing with client enquiries by telephone and email.
- Proofreading and preparing legal documents.
- Preparing account receipts, payments and bills.
Previous administrative experience is desirable, although legal experience is not essential. Interest in developing a career within the legal sector. Good IT skills and confidence using Microsoft Office. Willingness to learn and develop legal skills.
