A highly regarded London-based law firm specialising in Clinical Negligence is seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their successful team. The firm handles a wide range of clinical negligence claims, including birth injury and catastrophic cases, and provides legal services to clients across England and Wales. The team has been recognised in the Legal 500 and shortlisted for Clinical Negligence Team of the Year awards.
Responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will assist solicitors in managing client cases across various clinical areas. Experience in birth injury and orthopaedic claims would be particularly advantageous.
- Support solicitors with allocated tasks and provide progress updates.
- Organise and maintain accurate client files in both hard copy and electronic formats.
- Communicate with clients, including providing updates and gathering information.
- Provide cover and support for other paralegals within the team.
- Meet individual and team targets and deadlines.
- Follow department procedures, the firm’s policies, and professional guidelines.
- Draft witness statements, instructions, and other documents as required.
- Undertake general administrative tasks to support the smooth running of the department.
What we need from you:
- Paralegal experience in Clinical Negligence.
- Excellent drafting and legal research skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong client service ethic and effective communication skills.
- Ability to work with limited supervision and support the wider team.
