A well-established and highly regarded East London law firm is looking to recruit an experienced Childcare Family Solicitor to join its busy and supportive family team. This is an excellent opportunity for a solicitor who is passionate about public law children work and is looking for long-term progression within a firm that genuinely values work-life balance.
The Role
- Handling a varied caseload of public law childcare matters, including care proceedings, supervision orders, and pre-proceedings work
- Representing parents, guardians, and other parties in complex child protection cases
- Managing files autonomously while working closely with an experienced and collaborative team
- Attending court hearings and liaising with local authorities, counsel, and other professionals
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Solicitor (or Legal Executive) with experience in childcare/public law family work
- Confident running your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong advocacy and client-care skills
- Legal Aid experience is essential
- Children Panel membership is desirable but not essential
