We're working with a progressive and commercially focused law firm to recruit a Litigation Paralegal into their expanding Dispute Resolution team. Based in Chepstow, this is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive legal professional looking to develop their career in litigation, supporting experienced lawyers on a broad range of commercial and civil disputes.
The team advises businesses and individuals across a varied caseload including commercial and contract disputes, shareholder and boardroom disputes, professional negligence claims, wills, trust and inheritance disputes, insolvency and debt recovery, partnership disputes, defamation and reputation protection, and intellectual property disputes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting with the preparation of witness statements, court forms and legal correspondence
- Supporting disclosure exercises, trial preparation and document bundling
- Managing case files and ensuring key deadlines are met
- Liaising with clients, counsel, courts and other third parties
- Conducting legal research and preparing summaries for fee earners
- Providing administrative and legal support across a varied litigation caseload
- Maintaining accurate case management records and delivering high standards of client care
What We're Looking For:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Professional and client-focused approach
- Law degree or equivalent legal qualification desirable
- Previous experience within litigation and dispute resolution desirable
- Familiarity with SRA regulations, AML procedures and GDPR compliance would be advantageous
