We are seeking an experienced and proactive Commercial Property Legal Secretary to join our busy and well-established team in Canterbury. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable legal secretary who enjoys working in a fast-paced commercial environment and providing high-quality support to fee earners.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing full secretarial and administrative support to commercial property fee earners
- Preparing, amending and formatting legal documents and correspondence
- Managing files from opening to closing, including electronic and paper filing
- Handling Land Registry applications and SDLT returns
- Managing diaries, arranging meetings and dealing with client enquiries
- Liaising with clients, agents and other solicitors in a professional manner
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience as a legal secretary, ideally within commercial property
- Strong typing, document production and IT skills
- Excellent organisation and time management abilities
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Confident communication skills, both written and verbal
