About the Role

Our client, a fast-growing content and media business, is looking for a Commercial Legal Administrator to join their in-house legal team. This is a compliance and process-driven role at heart - you'll be the first point of contact for contracts coming through from commercial and creative teams, checking them for accuracy and completeness before they move to signature or legal review, while also managing supplier onboarding and due diligence across the business.

Compliance sits at the centre of the role: you'll be responsible for running anti-slavery due diligence on new suppliers and keeping the compliance database up to date, ensuring NDAs and DPAs are in place where required, and supporting data protection processes including subject access requests. You'll also help with environmental reporting, working alongside the Group's environmental working group to keep the business's carbon footprint reporting accurate and on time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration
    • Receive and review client and contributor contracts, checking all fields for accuracy, completeness, language, spelling and grammar
    • Sense-check any special or non-standard terms
    • Liaise with relevant teams to resolve defects or missing information
    • Forward contracts with amended or special terms to Legal for review
    • Ensure trading terms are agreed in writing before sending for signature via DocuSign
    • Download completed contracts and upload to the central contract hub
    • Maintain a diary of Master Services Agreement (MSA) expiry dates and flag renewals
    • Maintain records of agreed special terms/contract variations per client
  • Supplier Onboarding & Compliance
    • Liaise with finance and operations to onboard new suppliers per company process
    • Issue standard terms of trading; forward any supplier-proposed terms to Legal
    • Submit and track completion of anti-slavery questionnaires
    • Maintain the anti-slavery compliance database, ensuring records are accurate and current
    • Ensure suppliers complete standard NDAs and/or DPAs where required
  • Environmental & Data Protection
    • Support environmental working group with carbon footprint reporting
    • Assist with collating and submitting environmental reporting documentation
    • Support subject access requests, including redaction and compilation of documents

About you:

  • Previous experience in a compliance, contracts, procurement or legal support/administration role
  • Familiarity with anti-slavery compliance, NDAs and DPAs
  • Experience maintaining compliance databases or supplier records

Benefits

  • 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays
  • Hybrid/remote working
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity pay
  • Health Cash Plan, Gym Discounts, Employee Assistance Programme, GP Anytime
