Part-time – 14 hours per week (Monday & Tuesday, 9:00am-5:00pm) Preston office. We're working with a growing law firm looking to recruit a Receptionist to join its Preston office on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and organisational skills who enjoys being the first point of contact for clients and providing administrative support within a friendly legal team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Operating the main switchboard and directing calls appropriately
  • Receiving telephone enquiries, taking messages, and dealing with straightforward queries
  • Making outbound calls to clients, solicitors, courts and other third parties
  • Maintaining diaries and completing telephone records
  • Inputting information onto the firm's case management system
  • Opening new files and archiving closed files
  • Handling incoming and outgoing post
  • Keeping the reception area clean, tidy and welcoming
  • Undertaking routine fire alarm tests and maintaining daily logs
  • Providing general administrative support and assisting with other duties as required

What we need from you:

  • Previous reception, front-of-house or administrative experience, ideally within a professional services environment
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills with good attention to detail
  • Confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • A reliable, flexible and professional approach
  • A commitment to delivering excellent client service
