I’m delighted to be working with a top 20 international law firm that is continuing to grow its Birmingham private client offering and is looking to appoint an experienced private client legal director.
This is a particularly strong opportunity for a senior private client lawyer who wants to work at the higher end of the market, advising HNW and UHNW individuals, families and business owners on complex and high-value matters.
You’ll work closely with a highly regarded partner and have genuine exposure to sophisticated clients, complex estates and broader wealth planning matters.
The role
You’ll be involved in a varied and high-quality caseload, including:

Advising HNW and UHNW individuals, families and business owners

Complex estate and succession planning
-
Wealth preservation and lifetime planning
-
Drafting and advising on complex wills and trusts
-
Estate administration, including high-value and taxable estates
-
Inheritance tax planning and lifetime gifting
-
Trust creation, administration and restructuring
-
Family investment and wealth-holding structures
-
Lasting powers of attorney and wider lifetime planning
-
Court of Protection and deputyship matters
-
Working alongside accountants, tax advisers, trustees and other professional advisers
-
Supporting the continued growth and development of the private client team
-
Mentoring and supporting more junior members of the team

Strong experience in private client law
