An exciting Debt Recovery Paralegal has become available with an established Top 150 national law firm based in Birmingham offering hybrid working.

You'll be joining a supportive and established Litigation (Debt Recovery) Team with an excellent benefits package. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking, award-winning firm with a strong reputation in the legal market.

The Role:

  • Manage defended debt and insolvency matters from instruction through to resolution, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Draft and prepare legal documentation, including court applications, witness statements, defences, statutory demands, and enforcement proceedings.
  • Advise clients on dispute resolution, insolvency processes, enforcement strategies, settlement options, and recovery prospects.
  • Liaise with clients, courts, insolvency practitioners, enforcement agents, and other stakeholders to progress cases effectively.
  • Monitor case progress, statutory deadlines, and enforcement activity, providing clear updates and pragmatic recommendations.
  • Support business development initiatives through client engagement, networking events, and collaboration with the wider team.

About you:

  • 1 year's experience in debt recovery.
  • Strong team player with excellent relationship-building skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible, and calm under pressure.
  • Eager to learn and develop professional knowledge.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective communicator with strong client-facing skills.
  • Organised, discreet, and committed to high standards.
