Due to continued growth, the firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its established Property Litigation team in Oxford.
The team advises both residential and commercial clients across a broad range of contentious property matters and offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced property litigator to take on a senior role within a successful and collaborative department.
About the Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of property litigation matters, including:
- Landlord & tenant disputes
- Boundary and title disputes
- Adverse possession
- Restrictive covenants and easements
- Residential possession proceedings
- Lease renewals and dilapidations
- Leasehold and freehold disputes
- Rights of light
- Co-ownership and TOLATA matters
- Management company and service charge disputes
- General property and real estate litigation
- Alternative dispute resolution, including mediation and settlement negotiations
- Court proceedings and advocacy
As a Senior Associate, you will also play an important role in supporting the development of the team, supervising and mentoring junior lawyers, contributing to business development and building strong relationships with clients and professional contacts.
About You
- Qualified Solicitor with strong experience in Property Litigation, 5+PQE
- Proven ability to independently manage a varied and complex litigation caseload
- Strong technical knowledge across residential and commercial property disputes
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
- Strong understanding of civil procedure and litigation strategy
- Excellent client care and relationship-building skills
- Commercially minded with a pragmatic approach to resolving disputes
- Experience supervising, mentoring or developing junior lawyers
