An established and forward-thinking Legal 500 firm is seeking an ambitious and experienced Residential Conveyancer to join its growing Property team as an Assistant Head of Conveyancing. This is a rare opportunity for someone looking for long-term progression into senior leadership while helping shape and develop a key location. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and have a clear pathway towards stepping into a future Head of Department position.

The Opportunity

  • You will manage your own residential conveyancing caseload while supporting the wider department across multiple office locations.
  • The position combines fee-earning responsibilities with mentoring, team development and business growth initiatives.
  • You will also:
    • Support the day-to-day running and development of the department
    • Mentor and assist junior colleagues on more complex matters
    • Conduct performance and file reviews
    • Work alongside senior management on departmental strategy and KPI achievement
    • Support business development and networking initiatives
    • Assist with maintaining compliance standards including AML and Lexcel requirements
    • Help build and strengthen the office's profile and culture

You will initially have paralegal support and the opportunity to train and develop junior team members.
