This role is responsible for coordinating the supply chain of materials and parts into the business, as well as overseeing their movement through the organisation, from order placement and material/part receipt to storage and final delivery to the end user or customer. The role involves close communication and collaboration with internal stakeholders, suppliers, field engineers, project managers, and other colleagues to ensure required customer service levels are consistently met. In addition, the role provides support to the Supply Chain Team Leader and Logistics Manager, completing daily tasks and duties within the supply chain department to facilitate smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities- Co-ordinate the supply chain of materials and parts into the business and through stores to end users or customers, ensuring smooth movement and processing.
- Maintain and control stock levels, including service stock, consumables, parts, and overhead items, keeping stores organised, safe, and efficient, with accurate knowledge of stock locations, movements, and inventory counts.
- Generate, process, amend, and consolidate material and part orders, kit requirements, service requests, and sales orders, ensuring correct scheduling, job numbers, and ultimate delivery quantities.
- Prepare and despatch kits, service, and sales orders to factories, on-vehicle engineers, or directly to customer sites, including picking parts for kit-builds and facilitating van stock replenishment and returns.
- Monitor supplier deliveries, logging order acknowledgements and addressing any delays or discrepancies.
- Manage internal goods movements, workshop requests, RMAs, equipment requests, and any stock repairs or replacements required across the business.
- Raise purchase orders for supplies and process commercial invoices, IRs, and other system entries, checking and resolving any queries with Finance or Suppliers regarding quantities, deliveries, or other issues.
- Ensure all procurement and supply chain activities are carried out professionally, ethically, and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Provide email coverage and action communications related to supply chain, orders, or stock management as required.
- Good IT knowledge and experience.
- Standard of education (minimum GCSE level for English and Maths).
- Experience in picking and packing.
- Good communication skills both internally and dealing with suppliers.
- Attention to detail on orders and schedules.
- Good planning and organisational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs and teams.
- Ability to work as a team and individually.
- High level of integrity and reliability.
