Job Description
Are you a detail-driven Quantity Surveyor with a passion for delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget?
At OCU, we’re looking for a skilled professional to join our team and play a key role in managing cost and contractual aspects across a range of exciting projects.
There is plenty of opportunity for development and progression. This is an additional role within our team as part of our growth in Scotland.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates from drawings and specifications.
- Develop and manage detailed project budgets.
- Monitor and optimize project costs throughout the lifecycle
- Lead the tendering process and evaluate supplier bids.
- Resolve contractual issues during project delivery.
- Implement cost control measures and track expenditure.
- Identify risks and opportunities affecting profitability.
- Prepare interim and final payment valuations.
- Collaborate with teams to monitor and manage risk.
What We’re Looking For
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
- Chartered (RICS/CICES) or working towards chartered status.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, procurement, and cost management.
- Proficient in QS software and Microsoft Office.
