The Electrical Design Engineer is a critical role in supporting the delivery of electrical and/or civil engineering aspects of multidisciplinary construction and renewable energy projects. Reporting directly to the Design Manager, this role ensures the planning, design, and execution of electrical and/or civil engineering works meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The successful candidate will collaborate with design teams, contractors, and project stakeholders to deliver engineering solutions that align with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.

What you will bring:
- Proven experience in Electrical Engineering / Civil Engineering roles within the electrical utilities, Independent Connection Providers (ICPs) or renewable energy sectors, specifically up to 33kV Cabling or Substation Projects.
- Strong track record of delivering engineering works on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Strong technical knowledge of engineering principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Aware of a Designer's Role under CDM.
This role is for you if you have:
- Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
- 3-5 years design experience in substations / cabling projects.
- Skilled at identifying / analysing engineering difficulties.
- Willingness to learn.
- Would like broader progression into Electrical Design Engineering / project management opportunities.
