DescriptionIn this key role, you\âll carry out site audits, assess compliance with DNO standards, and play a vital part in maintaining safe and reliable electrical networks. You\âll have the opportunity to influence best practice, mentor jointing teams, and make a real difference to the performance and integrity of our operations.

Conduct planned and adâhoc site audits covering LV/HV jointing, terminations, and associated works.
Verify that all works meet DNO specifications, statutory regulations, and internal procedures.
Check workmanship, materials, tooling, and equipment to confirm compliance with required standards.
Assess operative competence, authorisations, and safe systems of work (permits, risk assessments, RAMS).
Produce detailed audit reports outlining findings, corrective actions, and improvement recommendations.
Identify recurring issues and support training and best practice initiatives to drive continuous improvement.
Liaise with Supervisors, Project Managers, and SHEQ teams to resolve nonâconformances.
Monitor compliance with environmental, health, safety, and quality systems.
Provide coaching and mentoring to jointing teams to raise awareness and standards.
Assist in incident investigations where workmanship or compliance issues may be a factor.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Proven experience as an LV/HV Cable Jointing Auditor within distribution networks.
Deep understanding of DNO standards, ESQCR, and Health & Safety legislation.
Strong technical knowledge of safe isolation, live working, and jointing practices.
Previous auditing, QA, or supervisory experience is highly desirable.
Excellent communication and reporting skills with the ability to write clear, factual audit reports.
Confident using Microsoft Office and digital audit tools.
Full UK driving licence.
