If you thrive in a hands‑on leadership role and are passionate about safe and effective project delivery, we'd like to hear from you.
What You'll Do

- Brief teams on planned works, ensuring all activities are carried out safely and in accordance with approved procedures.
- Monitor site performance to ensure work is completed to the required quality, programme, and safety standards.
- Ensure teams have the correct PPE, plant, tools, and equipment to undertake their work safely.
- Liaise with Senior Authorised Persons and operational stakeholders to coordinate outages, earthing, and network requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety observations to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement.
- Review project documentation, risk assessments, and completed records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Support, coach, and mentor operational teams, promoting best practice and high standards of workmanship.
- Identify site issues and implement solutions to minimise disruption and maintain project progress.
- Communicate project changes, risks, and commercial events to project teams and management as required.
What You'll Bring
- Previous experience supervising overhead line construction or electrical distribution activities within the utilities or power sector.
- Strong understanding of safe systems of work, risk assessments, and site safety requirements.
- Experience leading field-based teams and coordinating multiple work activities.
- Good understanding of electrical distribution or overhead line construction practices.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to effectively manage site issues and make decisions in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience working within DNO, ICP, or electrical distribution network environments.
- Bonus if you hold NRSWA, IOSH, or other relevant utility sector qualifications.
- It would be great if you have knowledge of NERS requirements and utility industry compliance frameworks.
- It would be great if you've worked closely with SAPs and outage planning processes.
- Experience using workforce management systems, digital reporting tools, or project management software would be advantageous.
