The Opportunity
We are seeking an organised and proactive Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of ED2 framework projects across civils, underground cabling, and overhead line (OHL) works within the 11–33kV electricity distribution network. Working closely with project managers, site teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders, you will play a key role in coordinating resources, documentation, programme delivery, and project communications to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant project execution.
What You'll Do
- Support the planning, coordination, and delivery of civils, cable installation, and overhead line projects across the ED2 framework.
- Coordinate labour, plant, materials, subcontractors, and site activities to ensure work progresses in line with project programmes.
- Prepare and issue work packs, drawings, permits, RAMS, and other project documentation required for site delivery.
- Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and provide regular updates, reports, and performance data to the project team.
- Coordinate site access arrangements, traffic management requirements, stakeholder notifications, and operational logistics.
- Maintain accurate project records, including permits, inspections, test results, daily reports, and as-built documentation.
- Support compliance with health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements, ensuring all works meet framework and industry standards.
- Assist with procurement activities, cost tracking, variation management, and commercial reporting.
What You'll Bring
Essential- Previous experience in a Project Coordinator, Project Administrator, Works Coordinator, or similar role within construction, utilities, power, civil engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with confidence liaising with operational teams, subcontractors, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Experience tracking project progress, maintaining records, and producing reports.
- Good understanding of project documentation, permits, RAMS, and site-based delivery processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document management and reporting.
- Proactive, flexible, and solution-focused approach with the ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Experience working on electricity distribution, utilities, power, energy, or ED2 framework projects.
- Knowledge of civils, underground cabling, or overhead line construction activities.
- Understanding of SSEN procedures and distribution network operations.
- Familiarity with CDM 2015 regulations and construction compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting procurement, commercial administration, cost tracking, or variation management.
- Knowledge of quality assurance processes, inspections, ITPs, and as-built documentation.
- Relevant project management, construction, or engineering qualifications.
