The Senior QS will play a key role in driving the commercial strategy, cost planning, and contractual compliance across electrical infrastructure, substation, and grid connection projects delivered under long-term framework agreements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Aid commercial strategy, cost planning, and contract management across multiple projects
  • Manage NEC3/NEC4 contracts, including Early Warnings and Compensation Events
  • Drive cost control, forecasting, and target cost performance
  • Oversee subcontract procurement, negotiation, and final accounts
  • Build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
  • Support and develop junior commercial team members

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

  • Proven experience managing NEC3/NEC4 Option C contracts
  • Background in utilities, power, infrastructure, or civil engineering
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar (RICS/CICES desirable)
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
