Role

Octus is looking for an Account Engagement Specialist to join our growing commercial team in London. This is an ideal opportunity for someone eager to build a career in account management and revenue generation. You will own the day-to-day of a defined book of EMEA accounts on autorenewal contracts, focusing on client retention, service quality and relationship building, while working closely with our Head of EMEA Account Management. This full-time position is located in our London office on a hybrid (3 days in office per week) working model.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day management and support of a defined book of EMEA clients on autorenewal contracts, serving as their primary point of contact.
  • Handle client questions and queries promptly, including those related to services, user access, training and content.
  • Maintain regular client contact touchpoints and proactively schedule outreach to keep relationships active.
  • Think commercially about each client relationship, identifying and flagging potential cross-sell opportunities to the broader Account Management and Sales teams.
  • Drive high client retention across the book, working to minimise cancellations and resolve at-risk situations early.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Commercial Operations to ensure seamless client service and consistent process adherence.
  • Relay client feedback on product and platform experience to the product team.

Requirements

  • 1+ year of professional experience, with a strong desire to move into a client-facing, revenue-generating role.
  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets, credit or leveraged finance.
  • Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and workstreams simultaneously.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in French or German is a plus.
  • Collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
