About The Role
InkBridge Networks is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer who thrives on designing, building, and deploying complex and mission-critical network ecosystems. We work with some of the world\’s most recognized organizations β€” including AT&T, Goldman Sachs, and Vodafone β€” to build infrastructure that simply cannot fail.
In this role, you\’ll focus on deploying robust, high-performance, and highly available infrastructure across multiple geographic sites β€” systems that serve millions of users and require zero downtime.
If you love solving complex networking challenges, enjoy building systems more than maintaining them, and prefer working in a deep engineering culture, this could be the job for you.
What You\’ll Do

  • Design, build, and deploy custom network infrastructure for ISPs and global enterprises
  • Architect systems for high availability, load balancing, failover, and multi-site synchronization
  • Work directly with customers to understand their technical challenges and deliver tailored solutions
  • Build the ecosystems around FreeRADIUS β€” including databases, authentication services, and infrastructure automation
  • Collaborate with a global team in a low-bureaucracy, engineering-driven environment

What We\’re Looking For
We value technical depth , strong communication , and ownership mindset . You\’ll need to demonstrate:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Familiarity with large-scale network deployments and infrastructure automation
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

Required technologies:

  • SaltStack
  • Terraform
  • Git & GitHub Actions
  • vSphere or similar virtualization platforms (e.g., VirtualBox, Docker)
  • A modern programming language (Python, Lua, etc. β€” anything but JavaScript)
  • Shell scripting in a Unix environment
  • CI/CD practices
  • General networking knowledge (Layers 2-4)

Nice to have / Desirable knowledge:

  • LDAP (scopes and filters)
  • SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Redis or equivalents
  • RADIUS and FreeRADIUS
  • 802.1X, EAP variants (TLS, TTLS, PEAP, SIM, AKA)
  • VPN and security protocols (IKEv2, IPSEC, WireGuard)
  • X.509 PKI
  • Kafka
  • DHCPv4/DHCPv6
  • VRRP
  • DNS

Note: Experience with FreeRADIUS is a plus, but not required. Our work is often more about the ecosystem around it.
About InkBridge Networks
InkBridge is a small team of world-class engineers who maintain and develop FreeRADIUS , the world\’s most widely deployed RADIUS server β€” with more installations than all competitors combined (including Microsoft, Cisco, and Nokia).
We\’re trusted by major global companies and national ISPs to deliver software that just works β€” every time. Our engineers contribute to IETF standards and are considered among the foremost experts in RADIUS and network authentication.
We don\’t believe in \”move fast and break things.\” Instead, our approach is:
Be methodical, be careful β€” never break things.
