About the Role:

We are looking for a Business Development Manager to work within our Intergenerational Planning team within our retail Sales and Customer Team. The Intergenerational Planning team is an integral part of the Sales and Customer team. It offers a unique service to financial advisers, solicitors, and executors of estates, supporting them and their clients through the estates and probate process and helping advisers maximise the benefits of taking on executors as clients. This supports our business objective to retain funds under management and provide industry-leading service.

The successful candidate will play a crucial part in retaining and generating new business within the regional sales and customer teams. This is a role that can lead to a broad range of opportunities for growth and development.

What will you be doing?

  • Develop and maintain relationships with a network of financial advisers, identifying new business opportunities and focusing on lead generation.
  • Work towards a quarterly target to retain assets under management where suitable for the customer.
  • Provide a bespoke experience, tailoring your style to meet the needs of your customer.
  • Complete outbound calls and manage multiple executor cases.
  • Take ownership of key performance indicators (KPIs), consistently working to meet the business retention objectives.
  • Conduct meetings to present our products, demonstrating how they can benefit both the adviser and beneficiaries.
  • Maintain a well-organised pipeline, using data and insights to maintain detailed records.
  • Work closely with internal and external sales managers in your region to identify opportunities.
  • Keep up to date with market regulations and product knowledge, using your knowledge to be influential where needed.

Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written. You are able to make the complex sound straightforward.
  • High self-motivation, with a commitment to meeting KPIs and targets.
  • High-quality interpersonal skills which emanate honesty and integrity.
  • A clear, concise, and articulate communication style, with an ability to be influential when needed.
  • Drive, ambition, and self-motivation.

What we offer:

  • A competitive salary, bonus, pension, and share incentive plan.
  • Untracked holiday.
  • Hybrid working – most of our people spend 50% of their time in the office.
  • Anchor (our wellness hub) which includes Headspace, one-to-one coaching through Wellness Cloud, Digital GP, employee assistance program & more.
  • Up to 6 months paid parental leave regardless of gender.
  • Life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection.
  • Private medical insurance for you and your family.
  • Electric vehicle leasing.
  • The option to work overseas up to a month per year.

Our Values:

At our core, we believe that how a company behaves is just as important as what it does. That is why we chose to become an accredited B Corp and to change our Articles of Association so that the interests of all our stakeholders – employees, customers, communities, environment, and shareholders – are considered in every decision we make.
