Senior Manager - Treasury Finance in London

We're looking for a Senior Global Finance manager who has a passion for helping support and grow a high, paced, global disruptor. The Octopus Energy Group spans everything from Renewable Generation to domestic flexibility, and from domestic heat pumps to public EV charging. We're looking for a motivated finance professional to work closely with our Group Corporate Finance Director. You'll be responsible for delivering key accounting advice and implementation for high importance areas of the Group (e.g. fundraising, M&A, new geographies, new lines of business, internal restructures). You'll need experience in local and international accounting standards and fast-paced, rapidly growing, global organisations. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with hands-on experience delivering accounting workstreams on strategic business initiatives. In exchange you will be involved in some of the most important financial decisions and projects that we undertake. Provide technical accounting, financial advice and support for the most important strategic projects within the business, including in relation to debt facilities, key contracts, intercompany activity, and M&AProvide technical accounting advice to the group and business units within the audit processEnsure implementation of accounting excellence across the group covering a broad spectrum of new developments and initiatives in the groupLead on accounting for due diligence on M&A activities Work closely with our treasury, capital markets, legal and tax teams on project implementations Work closely with Group Reporting and auditors to ensure that any new projects are accurately disclosed in the financial statements Work, where necessary, with external advisors to support on key projects and for select pieces of adviceWhat you'll needBig 4 qualified (CA, ACCA or equivalent) with great post-qualified experience in practice or in industryExcellent technical accounting experience in audit and/or advisoryExperience in controls implementations and business process improvementsThe ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projectsThe ability to effectively form trusted relationships with business unit management teams but at the same time retain an ability to challenge with empathy and understandingExcellent communication and listening skills will be core to thisWhy else you'll love it here Where people work with autonomy, alongside a wide range of amazing co-owners, on projects that break new ground.
