We are looking for an experienced Marketing Data Analyst, a talented technical problem solver who will enable the marketing team to use data to make great decisions. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on problems that genuinely move us closer to Net Zero with a company that is passionate about building great technology and products that change the way customers use energy.
What You’ll Do- Identify opportunities to use data sources to improve our marketing performance, such as cross-selling products or better integration of Google Analytics data.
- Enable the marketing team to build experiments to test and evaluate the impact of different ad campaigns or email messages.
- Complete ad hoc analyses into the performance of our various marketing channels and initiatives, such as Octoplus or Saving Sessions.
- Automate the day-to-day, such as helping marketers create targeting lists.
- Support operational reporting to monitor and improve performance of our acquisition channels, such as building web guides, FAQs and self-serve tools.
- Work closely with a broad range of teams including Marketing, Sales, Strategy and Tech teams.
- 2+ years in a professional analytics role, ideally with experience supporting a marketing team and using Google Analytics data.
- Passion for working in energy and contributing to the energy transition.
- Curious and self-driven - when faced with a new problem is capable of seeking out an answer without lots of help and support.
- Highly data literate and numerate - can make sense of lots of data and shape it into a coherent story.
- Great attention to detail.
- Communicates complex ideas clearly.
- Somebody happy to roll with a little marketing chaos.
- Has experience with some of the below technologies: Python with pandas, writing performant queries in SQL / dbt, building reports and dashboards in a BI tool (ideally Databricks AI/BI or Streamlit).
