Overview

As ICQA Team Manager, you will lead a three-pillar operation (Purchasing, Communications and Inventory) to maintain stock accuracy, drive purchasing efficiency, and ensure clear cross-team communication. You will act as a systems support liaison, optimize processes, and guide a high-performing team through change. Based at the Hinckley warehouse, you’ll partner with cross-functional teams to align ICQA activity with broader business goals and continuously improve data-driven performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day activities across Purchasing, Communications and Inventory functions
  • Oversee end-to-end inventory control for stock accuracy and availability
  • Oversee purchasing activity ensuring accurate and up-to-date orders
  • Collaborate with Procurement to monitor service performance and improve purchasing processes
  • Manage inventory, purchasing and operational communication systems and data
  • Monitor system performance and coordinate with technical support
  • Track and improve ICQA KPIs and operational efficiency
  • Coach and develop team members and drive continuous improvement
  • Lead change initiatives and embed new processes/systems
  • Collaborate with warehouse, operations, logistics, procurement and cross-functional teams
  • Ensure regulatory, quality and safety standards are followed

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in inventory control, purchasing or similar operational environment
  • People management or team leadership experience
  • Experience with operational systems, data, and issue resolution
  • Experience managing KPIs and using data to drive improvement
  • Ability to lead through change and adapt to new processes
  • Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse information and translate insights into action
