Responsibilities

  • Fit smart meters and in‑home displays in customer homes.
  • Show customers how the meter works, explain energy‑saving features and answer questions about green energy.
  • Represent Octopus Energy brands, ensuring safety and customer excellence.
  • Collaborate with the office team and leverage Octopus technology to minimise admin and maximise service delivery.

Qualifications

  • MOCoPA certificate held within the last 3 years (evidence required).
  • Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.

What You’ll Need

What We Offer

  • £36,500 starting salary.
  • £2,500 annual performance bonus, plus fit bonuses.

Call‑Out and Overtime

  • Rotating call‑out schedule once every five weeks (Monday‑Sunday). Receive £250 retainer. If called out you’ll be paid from door to door.
  • Saturday working:
    £50 for attending, £70 for dual fuel installation, £35 for single fuel installation, technical aborts paid at half rate.

  • After eligibility questions, you’ll be invited to our in‑person recruitment event Octopalooza.
  • On the day, you’ll be welcomed by the team, qualifications checked, complete a practical trade test, and have a brief interview with an Area Manager.
