Octopus Energy Services is leading the transition to greener, cheaper energy through the installation of in-home technologies such as smart meters, EV chargers, low carbon heating, home batteries, solar, and more. We deliver smart energy, low carbon solutions for our customers.
In this dual role, we\’re looking for Delivery Drivers/Warehouse Operations Specialists to work with our expanding low carbon technology installation teams and provide exceptional service to internal and external customers. This is a new operation and role, offering the opportunity to shape and develop as we grow. We\’ve moved into a new, high-tech Distribution Centre with unique features like a slide. At Octopus, the customer is at the heart of everything we do, and our diverse, friendly field force delivers the experience Octopus Energy customers love.
What you\’ll do
- Drive, collect, and deliver goods to sites nationally using a company-provided (BIG PINK) Luton Van (fuel and insurance provided)
- Provide site support to engineers and customers, ensuring goods are left securely and practically
- Represent the company by offering exceptional delivery service
- Manage warehouse operations including Goods In, Goods Out, Pack Build, Goods Assembly, Returns, and Stock Control, maintaining a clean, organized, and safe site
- Support additional tasks such as vehicle pickups, maintenance, equipment cleaning/servicing, and inventory checks
What you\’ll need
- Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution centre
- Physically fit for multi-drop driving and warehouse tasks
- Confident, friendly, proactive communication with customers
- Full UK Driving Licence (no more than 3 points)
- Experience driving and operating a ton Luton Van or similar, preferably in a customer-facing role
- Forklift experience is desirable but not essential
- Flexibility to work shifts between 06:00 – 22:00, with rotas available 3 weeks in advance and some flexibility required
