We are continuing to grow our manufacturing and R&D premises in Portadown and if you want to help us bring this technology to the market at scale and speed, then read on...We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our Octopus Energy Group team in Portadown. As a key member of our innovative and growing team, you'll be responsible for designing and optimising the manufacture of world-changing heat pumps and their production at scale. Plan, design, set up, test, modify, optimise and monitor manufacturing processes and equipmentResearch, propose and implement opportunities for process improvementEnsure equipment and processes meet health, safety, quality and environmental requirementsSupport the maintenance team to trouble-shoot and repair manufacturing equipmentProvide engineering input to the planning and organising of maintenanceWhat you'll need Proven experience in providing technical engineering support within a mechanised, volume manufacturing settingA good academic background with a relevant degree in engineeringHigh level of technical expertise and skill, and good knowledge of a range of engineering functions and practicesA practical, analytical and logical approach to problem solvingStrong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills, plus proven project management skills with the ability to work to tight deadlinesAwareness of health, safety and environmental considerationsComputer literate and a proficient user of CAD and MS Office applicationsIt would be great if you had knowledge of heat pump or heating equipment manufacturing, however these are not essentialRotational moulding experience would also be desirable but is not essentialWhy else you'll love it here Γ° Octopus Energy Group is a unique culture.
