We are looking for smart meter engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You'll be representing our brands in our customers' homes so you'll need to be just as happy talking to the customer and getting to know them as you are about doing the installation itself. You'll be fitting meters; showing customers how their meter and in-home display work; how it can help them save energy and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading. As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, you'll be supported by an office team who will share the same performance goals, so we're always working as one team. You'll also have the backing of Octopus Energy's tech power to evolve processes to spend less time on admin and more time delivering our best service.
- Install smart meters and demonstrate their operation and in-home display
- Explain energy-saving features and answer questions about the green energy revolution
- Represent the Octopus brands in customers' homes and maintain high levels of safety and customer service
- Collaborate with the office team to meet performance goals, If eligible, you'll be invited to join us at our in-person recruitment event, Octopalooza
- You'll complete a practical trade test and have an interview with an Area Manager to learn about life as a Smart Meter Engineer with Octopus

MOCoPA - held within the last 3 years and able to provide evidence - Gas Safe - CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
£36,500 starting salary - £2,500 annual performance bonus and fit bonuses

Call-out, overtime and weekend pay
- Rotating call-out schedule once every five weeks with a £250 retainer; paid door-to-door if called out
- Saturday: £50 for attending, £70 for a dual fuel installation, £35 for a single fuel installation; technical aborts paid at half rate
