We\’re looking for engineers with a track record of safety and customer excellence. You’ll be representing our brands in our customers’ homes, so you’ll need to be just as happy talking to the customer and getting to know them as you are about doing the installation itself.
You’ll be fitting meters, showing customers how their meter and in-home display work, how it can help them save energy, and answering any questions about the green energy revolution we are leading.
As part of the Octopus Energy Services team, we’ll ensure you have the best of everything you need to deliver the top-class service we’re aiming for. You’ll be supported by an office team who will share the same performance goals, so we’re always working as one team. You’ll also have the backing of Octopus Energy’s tech power, allowing us to evolve processes for less admin time and more service delivery.
What you\’ll need:
- Gas Safe – CCN1/MET1 or CMA1/MET1 (or equivalent)
- Full UK driving licence with no more than 6 points
- Full training provided to attain a MOCoPA qualification
What we offer:
- £36,500 starting salary

Call-out and Overtime:
- Rotating call-out schedule once every five weeks (Monday to Sunday), with a £250 retainer. Paid from door to door if called out.
Saturday working:
- £50 for attending
- £70 for dual fuel installation
- £35 for single fuel installation
- Technical aborts paid at half rate
Next Steps:
- Successful candidates will be invited to our in-person recruitment event, Octopalooza, to demonstrate skills and meet the team.
- During the event, you\’ll undergo a qualifications review, practical trade test, and interview with an Area Manager. You\’ll also have the opportunity to ask questions about the role.
