Octopus Energy Services is transforming how lowâcarbon tech moves through our supply chain. From suppliers and warehouses to finalâmile delivery. We are looking for a Programme Manager to lead critical logistics programmes, deliver measurable operational improvements, and embed a culture of continuous improvement across the business. This role sits at the intersection of programme delivery, analytics, and operational improvement. You will work crossâfunctionally with Operations, Finance, Procurement, and Data to ensure the logistics network scales efficiently, sustainably, and with clear performance visibility.
Working closely with the VP of Supply Chain, you will have regular exposure to the Supply Chain Senior Leadership Team, providing concise, data-led updates and translating strategic priorities into wellâgoverned, executable programmes across logistics and supply chain. You will ensure Octopus Energy's supply chain runs smarter, connecting strategy to delivery, building an improvement mindset across teams, and turning insight into action. This role starts by shaping the data and delivery foundations, then transitions into driving continuous improvement and longâterm operational excellence.
What youâll do
- Programme Delivery
- Own endâtoâend delivery of key supply chain programmes (e.g. warehouse transitions, transport strategy, carrier onboarding).
- Define project scope, milestones, risks, and success measures, ensuring delivery to agreed cost, time, and quality.
- Build clear governance and reporting frameworks, providing regular updates to senior leadership.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Work with Data and Finance teams to gather, clean, and align operational data from multiple sources.
- Develop dashboards and reporting frameworks to track cost, service, utilisation, and delivery performance.
- Use data insights to prioritise initiatives, highlight opportunities, and inform leadership decisions.
- Bridge the gap while data is being structured by using available information to build a clear operational picture.
- Collaborate with teams to make data accurate, accessible, and actionable across all logistics programmes.
- Continuous Improvement
- As programmes mature, evolve the role into driving ongoing improvement across logistics and supply chain operations.
- Coach teams to identify inefficiencies, challenge existing processes, and implement practical, dataâled solutions.
- Partner with Operations and Finance to quantify benefits, monitor KPIs, and ensure improvements are sustained long term.
- Champion simplicity, standardisation, and shared learning so that improvement becomes part of daily operations.
- Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate stakeholders across Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Data to align on programme delivery.
- Manage relationships with external partners (3PLs, carriers, and suppliers) to ensure service, cost, and performance targets are met.
- Provide concise, dataâdriven updates to senior leadership on progress, risks, and mitigations.
What youâll need
- Proven experience in programme management or operational improvement, ideally within supply chain, logistics, or manufacturing.
- Proven record of leading complex, crossâfunctional initiatives with measurable outcomes.
- Strong analytical capability â confident with Excel/Google sheets, SQL, or BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker).
- Understanding of Continuous Improvement methodologies and experience embedding CI culture within teams.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across all levels.
- Comfortable operating in a fastâpaced, dataâled environment with multiple priorities.
