Today, we proudly manage over £7bn in renewable energy assets worldwide.
Our portfolio includes over three hundred major energy-generating companies, from wind farms to solar power plants, with exciting new ventures in energy storage, e-fuels and beyond. As we continue to grow, we are looking for passionate individuals to join our diverse and dedicated team, helping us drive the future of renewable energy forward. While we maintain a degree of flexibility, this position requires an average of three days in the office per week in London.
The Development Portfolio Management Team at OEGEN is in charge of delivering our development investments and works hand in hand with developers to deliver on the investment cases in changing commercial and market dynamics. The portfolio spans different maturity stages (from early-stage land to ready-to-build) and five countries.
Your mission will be to make these investments a huge success through their development journey and until exits. You will lead all commercial, development and legal decisions on this portfolio, drive their value maximisation, exit strategy and sale processes. You will lead a team of commercial and development managers that will be fully in charge of this development portfolio. You are likely to become a board director on joint ventures and project companies.

What you’ll do:

- Together with the team, be the first point of contact with each developer, manage day-to-day coordination and communication with developers and lead operational reviews of pipelines.
- Lead on value enhancement and maximisation of each development project including time of exit, sale preparation, revenue contracting, last-mile development and other activities ensuring the best returns to investors on exit.
- Monitor valuation and financial performance of investments to optimise returns and conduct regular assessments of investment and overall portfolio performance against objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to the performance of the portfolio, enhancing investment resilience and performance.
- Governance Oversight – Responsible for implementing, maintaining and enhancing governance frameworks to ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
- Work closely with senior management and shareholders of portfolio companies and partners to ensure that governance practices are well-managed and operational processes are optimised.
- Be an active member of operational committees and a board member on joint ventures and portfolio companies.
- Team Leadership and Support – You will be responsible for leading and motivating a team dedicated to managing the development portfolio, fostering a culture of empowerment and continuous improvement.
- You will work closely with OEGEN Fund Managers to deliver the overarching fund objectives.
- You will be responsible for reporting against the development and investment KPIs internally and to the investors.
What you’ll need:
- Experience managing and driving strategic initiatives for a portfolio of businesses/developers with renewable assets.
- Strong regulatory, governance and compliance knowledge, with experience in managing complex operations across various geographical locations.
- Experience in driving value enhancement and maximisation strategies and project exits.
- Exceptional commercial acumen with a proven track record in investment portfolio management or asset management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, adept at engaging and influencing a diverse stakeholder group.
- Proficient in financial modelling, project management, data and reporting.
