Octopus Energy started with a bold idea: to build Britain's first truly digital energy supplier.

By combining world-class tech with brilliant humans who care deeply about customers and driving the renewable energy transition, we made it happen and in 2025, we became Britain's largest energy supplier.

Now, we're scaling fast and building the next generation of products to accelerate the green energy transition.

From making it effortless to switch to heat pumps, solar and EVs, to launching smart tariffs and creating renewable generation at scale, we're solving some of the most complex challenges in energy with speed, creativity and customer obsession.

We're also enabling our global businesses to reach the full capability of what we've achieved in the UK, taking the learnings, products and experiences that customers love here and rolling them out worldwide.

About the role

Our mobile app is how millions of customers interact with Octopus every day.

It's global first, lives across multiple countries, and is growing fast.

We need a Product Manager who can own the product direction for key areas of the app, navigate a complex stakeholder landscape, and ship features that genuinely make customers' lives easier.

  • What you'll be doing…
  • Owning the product roadmap for your area of the mobile app, setting direction and making the calls on what gets built and when.
  • Coordinating across Octopus's global markets.

Our app serves customers in multiple countries, so you'll navigate competing priorities, align stakeholders, and find the right balance between local needs and global consistency.

  • Working closely with engineers, designers, and data teams to define problems, shape solutions, and ship iteratively.
  • Defining technical requirements for dependencies on other teams and clearly communicating priority to external teams.
  • Developing, testing, and releasing features with scalability in mind.
  • Scoping larger underlying system changes and making pragmatic decisions about sequencing.
  • Monitoring existing customer journeys and new releases, using data to drive decisions and catch issues early.
  • Collaborating with local Operations teams to test changes and debug issues with live journeys.
  • Regular touchpoints with Marketing to identify trends, issues or improvements across funnels.
  • Working across multiple teams (Marketing, Ops, Credit, Design, country leads) to build shared understanding and drive alignment.
  • What you'll have…
  • 3+ years of product management experience, with meaningful time spent working on mobile apps.
  • Experience in startups or fast-moving scale-ups where you've had to figure things out without a rigid playbook.
  • A track record of shipping mobile products that real people use and love.
  • The ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders, teams, and geographies without losing momentum.
  • Real care for customers. You think about their experience constantly and push the team to get the details right.
  • Strong communication with both front-end and back-end engineers.
  • Experience taking problems (rather than strict guidelines) and developing strong solutions.
  • The ability to recognise what needs to be done, and just as importantly, what doesn't need to be done right now.
  • A talent for spinning many plates and context switching between competing demands without dropping quality.
  • Confidence in making decisions quickly, even with incomplete information.
  • Confidence tackling large-scale, ambiguous tasks and breaking them into something shippable.
  • An empathetic approach to collaboration.
  • Love for being the glue that holds cross-functional teams together.
  • Nice to have…
  • Experience working on apps serving multiple markets or languages.
  • Familiarity with energy, utilities, or other regulated industries.
  • Our stack…
  • Claude (Code, Cowork)
  • Notion
  • Asana
  • Miro
  • Figma
  • Github
  • VS Code (Copilot)
  • Kotlin multiplatform app for Android & i OS
  • Swift UI for i OS
  • Integrate with Graph QL APIs
  • Why else you'll love it here
