Job Description \n SAS Architect/Technical Lead (Viya) - MUST HAVE SC CLEARANCE - Telford and remote - 6 months+/RATE: £656 per day inside IR35 \n One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a SAS Architect/Technical Lead (Viya). \n For this role you will need to be onsite in Telford 2 days per week. \n Please find some details below: \n Job Description: \n Own the architecture and technical design of SAS-based solutions across Legacy SAS and SAS Viya environments \n Provide design assurance and governance for SAS services, ensuring alignment with data platform and enterprise architecture standards \n Support and guide teams consuming data warehouse sources (on prem and/or cloud) from SAS \n Define and document integration patterns between data warehouses and SAS platforms \n Advise on migration, coexistence and modernisation strategies between Legacy SAS and Viya \n Act as the technical authority for SAS-related decisions, risks and trade-offs \n Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams and vendors to resolve complex issues \n Ensure solutions consider security, performance, scalability and data quality \n Essential Skills & Experience \n Strong experience as a SAS Architect or Senior SAS Technical Lead \n Hands-on architectural experience with Legacy SAS (Base SAS, SAS Grid, SAS 9.x) \n Proven experience integrating SAS with enterprise data warehouses \n Experience working in regulated or large-scale enterprise environments \n Desirable Experience \n Experience supporting or designing modernisation journeys from Legacy SAS to Viya \n SAS Viya (cloud or containerised environments) \n Exposure to cloud platforms \n Familiarity with data lake/lakehouse patterns alongside traditional warehouses \n Experience working in multi-supplier or federated delivery models \n Please send CV for full details and immediate interviews.
