My client is looking for New Business Development consultants with a proven track record of selling payment/network services directly in the retail & hospitality (specifically Hotels, Food and Beverage) segments within the UK. The role involves building and maintaining a robust pipeline of new sales opportunities, engagement with merchants to drive acceptance take-up, and collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure the sales cycle is completed delivering key KPI's in acceptance. Applicants must have a solid network of potential prospects and partners (i.e. good black book of warm contacts so you can hit the ground running).
Role is hybrid with expectation of being in the office 3 days per week (unless out on the road).
Responsibilities:- Qualify and close the most promising prospects and partners that will help grow a healthy pipeline across the retail & hospitality (specifically Hotels, Food and Beverage) verticals. (For someone with the right contacts they will consider people who don't have payments industry experience)
- Build prospect engagement strategies and partner with marketing, business development, product and other departments to build qualified pipeline in cold and warm channels.
- Prepare high-quality presentations and proposals for C-suite stakeholders at prospective merchants, and implement winning negotiation strategies.
- Orchestrate the entire sales process, drive urgency and work to mutual action plans, and act as the main point of contact for merchants and internal stakeholders.
- Highly motivated and committed to growth and development.
- Self-generating enterprise opportunities that lead to new merchant enablement.
- Drive new prospecting activity directly.
- Leverage referred leads and self-cultivated leads to nurture your pipeline.
Role is a 12 month contract. Inside IR35.
