The Opportunity
Our client, a major player in the payments industry, is urgently seeking an experienced Product Owner to join their team. You’ll be driving key regulatory, compliance, and product enhancement initiatives, with a focus on applications and Online Dispute Resolution (ODR). This is a fast-moving contract role where you’ll collaborate with onshore and offshore teams across Front-End and Back-End applications, and play a key part in a large-scale migration project (WebSphere to OCP).
What You’ll Do
- Own and prioritise the product backlog; write clear and actionable user stories.
- Work closely with Scrum teams across multiple sprint cycles (2-week PIs).
- Collaborate with stakeholders across compliance, regulatory, and product groups.
- Support validation and testing to ensure quality delivery.
- Engage with distributed development teams in Asia.
What We’re Looking For
- Payments / card industry experience (settlement, authorization, clearing).
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Strong skills in user story writing, backlog management, and JIRA.
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and basic coding concepts.
- SQL skills (able to write simple queries).
- Background managing Front-End and Back-End applications.
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management ability.
Nice to Have:
- Agile Certification (e.g., CSPO).
- QA / validation exposure.
