One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Program Test Manager (Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering). For this role you will need to be onsite in London 2-3 days per week. CONTRACTOR MUST BE ELIGIBLE FOR BPSS MUST BE PAYE THROUGH UMBRELLA

Role Description

The Senior Programme Test Manager is accountable for defining and delivering the overall test strategy for complex, strategic end-to-end programmes. This role ensures quality assurance and testing excellence across business and IT initiatives, driving alignment with organisational objectives and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies for large-scale, complex programmes. Ensure alignment of testing approach with programme objectives, risk profile, and delivery timelines.
  • Delivery & Governance: Lead and manage end-to-end testing activities across multiple workstreams. Establish and enforce testing standards, frameworks, and governance processes.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Project Test Leads, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Allocate resources effectively to meet programme demands.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align testing objectives with business and IT goals. Provide clear and concise reporting on test progress, risks, and quality metrics.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Drive defect management and resolution processes across programme teams. Apply risk-based testing approaches to optimise coverage and efficiency.
  • Continuous Improvement: Champion quality engineering practices and innovation within the testing discipline.

Skills & Experience

  • 20+ years of experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Engineering.
  • 10+ years creating test strategies and delivering testing for strategic, complex E2E programmes.
  • Extensive business and IT experience within the Insurance industry.
  • 5+ years managing and mentoring teams of Project Test Leads.
  • Excellent conceptualisation and verbalisation skills for articulating complex ideas clearly.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with proven ability to influence at senior levels.
