My client is looking for an experienced business developer/sales consultant to be responsible for driving payment acceptance growth through a direct to merchant sales approach in key verticals within the UK (transport, hotels, retail, airlines, restaurants). The role involves building and maintaining a robust pipeline of new sales opportunities, engaging with merchants to drive client acceptance take-up, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure the sales cycle is completed and delivers key KPIs in acceptance.

Responsibilities include:

  • Actively managing and escalating risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Candidates should have previous experience selling payment solutions to merchants, ideally coming from a card payments background. Previous experience at organisations like Elavon, Worldpay, Global Payments, Ayden, Cardnet, Planet Payments, Checkout, Nuvei, or Barclaycard Payments is preferred.

The role is for 12 months and is hybrid (mostly remote), with the option to go permanent for the right candidate after proving themselves.
