Octavius are recruiting for two Site Supervisors (Nights) to join us here at Octavius Infrastructure working on Highways Projects in the North West of England in National Highways area 10 and 13. Successful candidates will have experience working on high speed road networks. Experience working for a principal contractor is preferred.
You will be responsible for:
- Supervising and managing the contract activities on site, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards, policies and procedures.
- Leading by example and promoting a positive safety culture and a right first time attitude among the site team and the supply chain.
- Communicating clearly and effectively with the site management, the client, the local community and other stakeholders.
- Ensuring the delivery of a quality product that meets the customer's requirements and expectations.
- Maximising the profitability of the project by identifying and recording changes, managing resources efficiently and closing out defects and deliverables in a timely manner.
- Supporting and developing your team members and sharing best practices and lessons learned across the sector.

About You:
- Previous experience as a site supervisor, undertaking similar work at a Tier 1 Contractor.
- A valid SSSTS qualification (preferably SMSTS or working towards SMSTS).
- A valid CSCS card and other identified training.
- A good level of IT skills.
- A strong commitment to the Octavius values of integrity, caring, progressive, openness and quality.
- A willingness to learn and grow with the company.
You will bring:
- A Civil, Structural, or Construction Management background on National Highways networks.
- Ideally you will have worked for a tier 1 contracting group with working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, & programming.
- Experience leading a team of direct reports assisting their all-round development.
- Experience working on a broad section of disciplines such as groundworks, RC structures, steelwork, and building and can demonstrate a clear understanding in these areas.
- Understanding of interpreting drawings and demonstrable technical knowledge.
