Octavius are looking for experienced

Site Supervisors/General Forepersons to join our teamworking on Highways Projects in the North.

These roles will the support delivery of schemes on National Highways' Northern SDF framework, in National Highways Areas 10, 12, 13 & 14.

We are looking candidates located in Yorkshire, the North West & the North East.

Although our projects cover all regions, candidates will be aligned to a core region based on their location, with travel primarily focused within that area.

Successful candidates will have experience working on high speed road networks. Experience working for a principal contractor is preferred.

Please note that this role will involve night working.

You'll be working on…. (what your role and responsibility is)

You will be supervising works across your National Highways Area, leading the site teams and coordinating subcontractors ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and to specification.

You will act as the main point of contact on site, maintaining high standards of health and safety, quality and programme delivery in line with National highways standards.

The key responsibilities of this role are

  • Oversee daily activities across highway construction and maintenance projects
  • Ensure all works are carried out in line with National Highways specifications and requirements
  • Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks and site inductions for teams
  • Coordinate resources including labour, plant, materials and subcontractors
  • Maintain accurate site documentation, including permits and reports
  • Build effective working relationships with site teams, clients and key stakeholders
