Octavius Infrastructure are excited to be a part of the Southern Renewals Enterprise helping to deliver Electrification and Plant (E&P) renewals across the Southern region. We are recruiting for an innovative Senior Electrification Project Manager to join us. The projects that you will manage will be across Kent, Sussex and Wessex. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for a portfolio of 4-5 projects collaborating to develop design solutions, through to successful delivery on site, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
You will be working on:
- Providing visionary leadership for electrification projects, ensuring they are executed with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Managing a portfolio of projects, package values of £10-£20m.
- Developing and executing comprehensive project strategies, including scope, schedules, and budgets, to achieve project objectives and align with the company's mission.
- Collaborating closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers, fostering effective working relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively identifying and mitigating risks, anticipating potential challenges and implementing contingency plans to ensure project success.
- Providing leadership and guidance to project teams, promoting a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conducting regular project reviews, reporting on progress, milestones, and key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintaining meticulous project documentation and providing clear and regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
- Monitoring project budgets, controlling costs, and making strategic financial decisions to ensure the financial viability of projects.

About you:
- Proven experience in managing electrification projects, with a strong understanding of project management principles, tools, and techniques.
- Familiarity with electrification systems, power distribution, and infrastructure development, including an understanding of relevant technologies and best practices.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate teams, build effective relationships, and manage stakeholders at all levels.
- Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and the capacity to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a focus on delivering projects within a framework environment.
- Previous experience working for a tier one contracting organisation.
You will bring:
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as electrical engineering, civil engineering, project management, or a related discipline.
- In-depth knowledge of electrification systems, power distribution, and related infrastructure, including familiarity with electrical codes and standards.
- Experience working in 11kv or 33kv substations.
- Proven experience in Senior project management, especially in overseeing electrification projects from initiation to completion.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and lead project teams effectively.
- The ability to build and maintain positive client relationships, including presenting project updates and addressing client concerns.
- Experience managing a portfolio of projects with values of £2-£10m +.
