We're seeking a Stakeholder & Public Liaison Advisor to join our team for a major infrastructure project in the Chester area. This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible difference in the local community, working closely with residents, businesses, and partners to deliver meaningful social value and engagement. The role is based in/around Cheshire and the Wirral and you will be working on site or in the community 3‑4 days a week. This is a 2 year fixed term contract.
As a Stakeholder & Social Value Advisor, you’ll:
- Lead stakeholder engagement for the Cheshire project, ensuring local residents, businesses, and community groups are informed and involved throughout delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with challenging stakeholders, including local businesses and residents.
- Plan and deliver social value activities that leave a lasting, positive legacy.
- Manage communications, organise local engagement events, and act as a trusted link between the project team and the community.
You’ll work with our Stakeholder & Social Value Manager, Project Managers, and wider delivery teams, as well as key customers and partners, including local authorities, community groups, and schools.

Empathy, diplomacy, and initiative come naturally to you—you know how to listen, respond effectively, and balance the needs of multiple stakeholders in fast‑paced environments.
You’ll bring:
- Local knowledge of Cheshire & surrounding areas.
- Experience in a community engagement or public liaison role, with the confidence to manage complex or challenging relationships with stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Organisational ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on time.
- A proactive, collaborative mindset with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Good level of written and spoken English (Essential).
- Current valid UK Driving Licence (Essential).
- DBS Check or ability to obtain one (Essential).
- Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in Community Engagement, Social Value, Communications, or Project Management.
- STEM Ambassador / EDI qualification (Desirable).
