We are seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to drive the commercial success of multiple infrastructure projects. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring robust financial and contractual management, supporting project delivery, and maximising commercial performance across a portfolio of works.

  • Lead the commercial management of multiple projects, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and business objectives.
  • Take full accountability for financial performance, cost control, and forecasting accuracy.
  • Manage contracts, change control processes, and commercial risk & opportunity.
  • Deliver accurate and timely reporting (MPR, CVR, cost plans, forecasts).
  • Oversee procurement processes and manage supply chain relationships.
  • Support dispute resolution and provide commercial/legal guidance.
  • Lead and develop a team of Quantity Surveyors (typically 4-7 people).
  • Build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Ensure governance, audit compliance, and adherence to company procedures.
  • Conduct site visits and attend regular project and cost review meetings.

Proven experience in a senior Quantity Surveying role on large-scale infrastructure or civil engineering projects.

Strong knowledge of cost management, contract administration, and commercial reporting.

Effective leader with experience managing and developing teams.

Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

Confident communicator with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced project environment.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Working towards or holding professional membership (e.g. RICS or CICES) desirable.
  • CSCS card (desirable).
